Your own telemetry only tells you where you are slow. To learn why, you need a faster lap to overlay against yours, and ideally the setup it was driven on. That is what a handful of sim racing tools actually sell: professional or esports driver data, packaged per car and track. Some bundle it into a monthly tier, one sells it as a separate tier above the coaching plan, and two give you community laps for nothing. Here is what each tool's own pricing page says.

Reference laps and setups are two different purchases
The pricing pages split these more sharply than buyers expect. Trophi.ai is the clearest case: Premium is billed at $89.99 a year and Premium + Setups at $199.99 a year, so setups alone account for the difference. Track Titan stages it: pro reference laps arrive at the $7.99 Plus tier, but the Hymo Esports setups are reserved for the $19.99 Ultra tier. Coach Dave Delta comes from the opposite direction. Its product is setups first, with Setup IQ adjusting any setup to your driving style from your lap data, and there is no free tier to sample it. VRS bundles everything per series in one datapack, with all premium datapacks unlocked on the $9.99 Competitive tier and individual add-on packs from $1.99 to $19.99 a month.
Popometer sits in between. Its packs include the matching setup and weather, and its analysis automatically flags where your apex position or corner speed differs from the pro lap. The catch is that comparing against a professional requires buying or activating packs on top of the base account, the Ultimate Subscription price is not shown on the page, and the coaching feature is listed as coming soon. What you pay for today is the comparison, not the advice.
The free route: community laps, with a catch
If you race iRacing, you can get reference laps without paying anyone. Garage 61 says all of it is free during alpha and covers most car and track combos with community-shared telemetry. iSpeed has done the same job for years with its datamart of uploaded laps, licensed by donation. Both share two limitations. They are iRacing only, so ACC or Le Mans Ultimate drivers get nothing. And community data is only as fast as the people willing to share it: Garage 61 notes that top drivers can set their data private, and its own FAQ answers 'Will it stay free?' with 'Not all of it'. VRS's $0 tier also includes free datapacks, though with only three months of retention.
What to check before you pay
- Whether your sim is covered. VRS, Garage 61 and iSpeed list iRacing and nothing else; Coach Dave Delta is the only one here listing Gran Turismo 7.
- Whether the price is monthly or annual up front. Trophi.ai's per-month figures are billed at $89.99 or $199.99 a year.
- Whether the setup comes with the lap. VRS and Popometer bundle them; Track Titan and Trophi.ai charge a higher tier for setups.
- Whether the price is published at all. Popometer's Ultimate Subscription and Garage 61's Patreon plan show none.
