Best iRacing telemetry and coaching apps: every tool that lists iRacing, and what each costs

Thirteen sim racing tools name iRacing on their own sites: three voice apps, seven lap analyzers, an overlay suite and two dashboards. Ten cost nothing to start.

Thirteen of the twenty sim racing tools we track name iRacing on their own sites, and three of them support nothing else. The hard part is telling them apart. Here is each one with what it does and its stated entry price, then the differences that matter.

Built for iRacing and nothing else: VRS, Garage 61 and iSpeed

VRS sells pro-driver datapacks: setups, telemetry and reference data per series. Its free plan covers personal telemetry and free datapacks with 3-month retention; Competitive, at $9.99 a month or $8.33 on yearly billing, opens all premium datapacks. Human coaching is priced separately, from $29.99 for 30 minutes. Garage 61 lets you compare against telemetry and reference laps other drivers share, and its docs say everything is free during alpha. An optional Pro plan, €5 a month when subscribing yearly, adds advanced lap-search filters and unlimited data storage, and its FAQ says not all of it will stay free. iSpeed is donationware with a shared datamart of thousands of lap files; a donation of $15 or more removes the prompts. It is visibly dated: its site still lists compatibility as Windows XP through Windows 8.

A voice during the lap: TakeP1, Trophi.ai and Crew Chief

TakeP1 gives away its whole race engineer, including live corner-by-corner voice coaching, a spotter and brake points, with no trial, no tiers and no card. Its desktop app runs on Windows 10 and 11 only, and the installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen warns on install. Disclosure: TakeP1 is operated by the team behind PickMerit. Trophi.ai's Mansell AI coaches by voice through every corner, but there is no free tier, only a 7-day trial, and every plan is billed annually up front. Crew Chief is a free, open-source voice race engineer and spotter for Windows; donations are accepted.

Analysis after the lap: Track Titan, Coach Dave Delta, Popometer and Z1

Track Titan's free Community tier gives telemetry analysis without AI tips; those and pro reference laps start at Plus, $7.99 a month. Coach Dave Delta is a subscription-only PC desktop app with pro setups and Auto Insights corner-phase coaching. Popometer records laps for free, but comparing against professional drivers means activating data packs, and its Ultimate Subscription price is not shown on the page. Z1 Dashboard has no perpetual free tier, only a demo. Its AI instructor arrives with the Track tier at $7.99 to $8.99 a month, and the Standard tier restricts it to a single car and track combo.

Overlays and dashboards: RaceLab, RS Dash ASR and DashPanel

RaceLab has a detail in iRacing's favor: its lap-time analysis, standings and performance-trends module is labeled 'Exclusive to iRacing'. RS Dash ASR runs on iOS, Android and Windows, but iRacing needs its Windows PC version installed on the game PC. DashPanel's time-unlimited free demo shows only RPM, speed and gear; full data is bought per game.

  • TrackPro: its site no longer names which sims are supported, though testimonials mention iRacing.
  • SimHub and SIM Dashboard: each site claims 100+ games, but our data does not record whether iRacing is among them.
  • Sim Racing Telemetry and Lovely Dashboard: our data does not name iRacing for either.
  • Race Dash for Sim Games: lists F1, Gran Turismo, Forza, Project CARS and Assetto Corsa, not iRacing.
  • MoTeC i2 Pro: its site makes zero mention of sim racing.
The practical read: ten of the thirteen cost nothing to start, so test before subscribing. The seven tools in the list above did not name iRacing in what we verified, which is not the same as not working with it. Every statement here comes from each tool's own pages on the verification date shown on its card. Full cards for all 20 tools: Best Sim Racing Coaching & Telemetry Tools.
