Sim racing telemetry on PS5 and Xbox: which apps actually work on console

Most sim racing telemetry and coaching apps are Windows-only. Here are the ones whose own sites list PS5, Xbox or Gran Turismo support — and the fine print.

If you race on a PlayStation or an Xbox, most of the sim racing coaching market is closed to you. The tools that do the actual teaching — AI voice coaches, telemetry analyzers, setup engines — are almost all Windows desktop apps that read data straight out of a PC sim. Console racers get a much shorter list, and it works differently: the game streams telemetry over your network, and a second device on the same network turns it into a dashboard or a lap comparison. Here is every tool in our dataset whose own site names a console, and exactly what it says it supports.

The apps that name a console

Five of the twenty tools we track list console games or console platforms on their own pages. Everything below is quoted from what each site states, with prices as shown on its pricing page.

ToolConsole support (as listed on site)Price (verified)
Sim Racing TelemetryGames on PC/PS4/PS5/Xbox, captured over the same network; app runs on Windows, macOS, iOS and AndroidFree base app (limited parameters and stored sessions); per-game DLC $1.99-$9.99 each
Race Dash for Sim GamesGames on PC/PlayStation/Xbox; client on iOS, iPadOS, Apple Watch, Mac (M1+) and Apple VisionFree base app; per-game unlocks $3.99-$5.99; All Access $1.99/mo or $13.49/yr
SIM DashboardGames on Windows PC, PS4/PS5 and Xbox One/Series; client on Android and iOSFree (max 3 widgets per page); Pro one-time in-app purchase
RS Dash ASRSupported games include Forza, Gran Turismo and F1 2020-25; client on iOS, Android and WindowsFree base app; in-app subscriptions for Advanced Analysis and the custom dashboard designer
TakeP1 (P1 Race Engineer)Gran Turismo 7 on PS5, alongside ten PC titlesFree (full engineer: live coaching, spotter, brake points, telemetry HUD); Pro $19.99/mo

What "console support" actually means

None of these run on the console itself. They read the UDP telemetry stream the game broadcasts and display it on a phone, tablet or PC sitting on the same network — which is why the setup requirements matter more than the feature lists. The gap between titles is also real: how much data you get is decided by the game's developer, not the app. These are the constraints each site states.

  • Sim Racing Telemetry records only complete timed laps, the capture device and the game machine must be on the same network, and per-game DLC bought on Steam is not transferable to the iOS or Android versions. It does support F1 25's 2026-season telemetry protocol.
  • Race Dash for Sim Games is Apple devices only — no Android or Windows client — every game must have UDP telemetry enabled, and its App Store listing showed the latest update as v7.3.3 from June 2024.
  • SIM Dashboard caps the free version at 3 widgets per page, needs a companion server app for Windows games, and notes that many games expose only partial telemetry so some widgets do not work per title.
  • RS Dash ASR states that Forza Horizon, FM7 and Gran Turismo expose only limited telemetry, and its Advanced Analysis mode requires a full-HD-or-better tablet or desktop screen.
  • TakeP1's desktop app runs on Windows PCs, and its console support is currently limited to Gran Turismo 7 on PS5.

Dashboards are solved; coaching mostly isn't

Read the table again and a pattern shows up. Four of the five console-capable tools are dashboard and telemetry-display apps — they show you what the car did. Only TakeP1 lists a console title for live coaching, and only one title. Everything that interprets your data sits on the PC side: Crew Chief, SimHub, RaceLab, iSpeed, MoTeC i2 Pro and Lovely Dashboard all list Windows as a platform, TrackPro specifies Windows 10/11 64-bit, and Garage 61, VRS Virtual Racing School and iSpeed support iRacing and nothing else.

That makes the practical console stack a two-part one: a free or near-free second-screen dashboard while you drive, and whatever analysis you can do from the lap data afterwards. Sim Racing Telemetry is the widest net across PC, PlayStation and Xbox; SIM Dashboard is the pick if your second screen is Android; Race Dash is the pick if it's an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. If your title happens to be Gran Turismo 7 on PS5, TakeP1's free tier is the only live voice coaching in this dataset that reaches a console at all.

Prices, platforms and limitations above come from each tool's own site on its verified date — anything a site doesn't state, we leave out.
